For my friends and friends who are family: A visual and textual summary of my attempt to renovate a 130 year old home suffering from a poorly executed earlier renovation. My thoughts, plans, missteps, budget constraints, points of inspiration, successes and requisite before and after photos will be captured within. What is making me happy today!

My living room - I made bold color choices (for me) - and it's so much fun to see it turning out as planned. Here you see the ceiling medallion ($25, Home Depot) going up…later this week there will be a chandelier hanging from this spot. Moldings - check; cased archways - check. Soon the rug (Update: The Perfect Rug - FOUND!) will be down, and the furnishings and art (Planning: Living Room Furniture) will be placed.
